Derby Hotels Collection reinforces its positioning through gastronomy, luxury and culture as a hallmark of its brand

- In recent months, "CEBO" has opened under the direction of Javier Sanz and Juan Sahuquillo -one Michelin star-; and they have brought to Madrid Glass by Sips the concept of Drinkery House by Simone Caporale and Marc Álvarez -recognised as the third cocktail bar in the world-

In addition, in the upcoming weeks Hotel Claris will be opening Os-Kuro, a new Japanese restaurant that will fuse traditional Japanese cuisine with the best produce from our coasts.

The chain led by Joaquim Clos will add a new project in Barcelona to its 22 hotels and luxury apartments.

Madrid, 18/01/2023.- Derby Hotels Collection presents the group's new projects at FITUR, in a year in which the chain once again reinforces its gastronomic proposal and its art collections as hallmarks, with the aim of offering the best service and a differential and exclusive proposal for the client.

Within the framework of FITUR, Jordi Clos, President of DHC, and Joaquim Clos, General Manager, explained the objectives for the 2023 financial year, in which growth of 4% is expected after closing 2022 with a turnover of 74 million euros.

Derby Hotels Collection commits to gastronomy and new values

With the aim of positioning the establishments not only as hotel references, but also in the highest gastronomic expression, Joaquim Clos leads the Group's commitment.

In this sense, Derby Hotels Collection is committed to innovation in the field of restoration. At the Hotel Urban 5*GL, the CEBO restaurant -led by Javier Sanz and Juan Sahuquillo -recognized with a Michelin star-, reopened during 2022.

The new concept is inspired by a cuisine free of artifice and expressed with the best products of the moment. "A deep and nuanced cuisine, which delves into the flavors, claiming simplicity and the elemental", says Juan Sahuquillo.

Also, the Urban inaugurated a new project in Glass returning to its origin, to be a reference cocktail bar in the capital. To do this, a few months ago Simone Caporale and Marc Alvarez, owners of Bar Sips -third position in The World's 50 Best Bars-, landed for the first time in Madrid with Glass By Sips. An innovative concept of Drinkery House, where the main characters are the cocktails that express a language, transmit a sensation and create experiences.

With Glass, the Urban offers a complete user experience: a Cocktail Bar; CEBO and La Terraza, on the top floor, considered one of the rooftop references of the capital's circuit.

In Barcelona, Derby Hotels Collection will soon present Os-Kuro, the new gastronomic project of the chain. Located in the Hotel Claris, a new Japanese cuisine restaurant that fuses the elaborations of Japanese cuisine with the best local product of our coast. A versatile restaurant concept, to enjoy at different times as an aperitif or at lunch and dinner, accompanied with a wide range of Sakes and the best wines.

"Changes are opportunities and evolutions, these three openings are for us a great opportunity for growth and transformation to position ourselves as the gastronomic hotel group of reference" said Joaquim Clos, CEO of DHC.

DHC new openings in 2023

In summer 2023, Derby Hotels Collection will increase its Barcelona offer with the incorporation of Barcelona Apartament, a 16-apartment building in the vicinity of Plaza Europa, where the new museum area of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat is planned.

In London, the 4* Caesar Hotel will be one of the hotel group's projects in 2023, which will receive a major investment for its refurbishment.

In addition, the Hotel Balmes, Barcelona, and Villa Real, Madrid, have announced their recent affiliation with the prestigious international hotel chain PREFERRED HOTEL GROUP, which represents more than 650 independent hotels, resorts and residences in a total of 85 countries.

DHC commitment to the 2030 agenda

In parallel, DHC continues with its lines of work and green policies through the group's Sustainable Development program, which aims to respond to the challenges set out in the 2030 Agenda.

The sustainable action plan consists of three pillars. The environmental one -with measures aimed at implementing policies to manage the carbon footprint and mitigate the effects of climate change-, the socio-cultural one -to promote the growth of the cities in which we operate, and contribute to intercultural understanding and tolerance-, and the economic one -to contribute to the economic development of the cities in which we operate by working hand in hand with local producers and promoting environmentally responsible consumption habits.
