Banke

5* HOTEL

Paris

Located in the very heart of the Opera district, in one of the most luxurious shopping areas of the centre of Paris, it is within a stone's throw from Boulevard Haussmann and the Galeries Lafayette and Printemps department stores, and ten minutes from the Champs-Elysées and Place Vendôme.

The Banke Hotel 5* was one of the first Haussmanian-style buildings to be built in Rue la Fayette alongside the Opera in the early 20th century. It is the work of the architects Paul Friesse and Cassien Bernard, in collaboration with the engineer Gustave Eiffel's workshop, who designed the central staircase. The building is now protected as a monument by Paris City Council.

Formerly, it housed the head offices of the Banque Suisse et Française and was remodelled in 2009 to become a large, luxury hotel. A historical location, where during the XVIII and XIX centuries was the Palace and gardens of Queen Hortense, wife of Louis Bonaparte. And it was in that palace where Napoleon III was born. The palace was demolished in 1899 to create Rue Pillet-Will and build the bank head offices.

It has a spectacular lobby under a glass cupola measuring nineteen metres in height and with a large mosaic in the central part, around which the hotel bar and restaurant are now located.

The Banke Hotel has 90 grand luxe rooms and suitesmeeting rooms and function rooms. The high-quality cuisine is another of the hotel's attractions, with the Josefin Restaurant, the Le Bar and its terrace in the summer.

It offers VIP services on request, for beauty treatments, massages, personal trainers, babysitting, limousine hire, etc.
